Armin van Buuren’s weekly radio show “A State of Trance” has been going strong for almost a decade now, with over 10 million listeners every week, broadcasting on more than 40 radio stations worldwide in 26 countries, the show has remarkably grown out to be the most popular radio show in today’s dance scene. In 2009 “A State of Trance” celebrated her 400th broadcast with an unforgettable series of events. Armin took a whole crew and a selection of Artists on tour, traveling to three countries in three days, broadcasting for 72 hours in a row, including three live video/radio streams on location. At the end of the transmission, the only question left was… How to top this next year with “A State of Trance” 450? One year later, we have the answer to this question!
With less than 4 months left till the 450th episode of “A State of Trance”, we are proud to announce that ‘ASOT 450’ will be a fantastic event again. Besides following Armin and his special guests traveling two Continents, visiting 4 countries for 5 club nights, the listeners will have the chance again to tune in to live audio and video streams, to make sure that no one will miss out this celebration of music.
Episode 450 of “A State of Trance” will kick off on Thursday, April 1st in Toronto, Canada in the iconic Club The Guvernment. From there we continue our journey through Northern America by presenting two night shows on 2nd and 3rd of April, in New York City’s favorite music venue, Roseland Ballroom.
If you think that will settle as celebration, you are wrong! After the events in Toronto and New York it is time to continue the birthday of “A State of Trance” in Europe. The 4th broadcast will air live from Queen of the cities, Bratislava on Friday April 9th followed by the official closing of “A State of Trance 450” on Saturday April 10th in one of Poland’s graceful venues, the Centennial Hall in Wroclaw.
Armin van Buuren: “Everything I do as an artist, DJ, producer and label manager comes together in my weekly radio show “A State of Trance”. He concludes, “I owe the success of the radio show to my fans, and I want to thank them for that, therefore, within the nine years history of show, the annual celebration of completed episodes has become a tradition”.
This year, we decided to really expand the international characteristic of “A State of Trance”. The successful Introduction of 3 events in 3 countries, and the live video streaming of previous year gets topped by 5 incredible shows from 4 different countries in 2010, crossing the ocean for the very first time.
